Here is an artist that I have been thinking about a lot lately. His layering and space are both sensual and convincing, and I can't get over the way in which he overlaps abstract color fields and definable spaces. I'm surprised that he isn't more well known, he's not gotten much press from what I can tell, but the paintings speak for themselves. He uses the color blue in ways I wish I could.
